A client based in Staffordshire is looking for an Electrical Project Engineer. This will be for an initial 4 month contract.

Role:

The position requires a broad knowledge of, and experience in the range of technical roles and responsibilities carried out by this department.

- Conversant with all the elements of the Company's ISO 9001 Quality System and of other key areas of project administration, particularly in the field of Health and Safety, is also required.
- Assist in the Design of Hygienic Process plant, including surveys where required, to meet the operational requirements of our Customer's objectives, addressing all areas of electrical engineering.
- The effective management of all financial and commercial aspects of site related contracts, including variation orders and related Customer/Sub-contractor negotiations. The completion of all related costing documentation and required interfacing with the Company's central account functions.
- To oversee the technical and commercial specification of all plant, components and sub-contracted activities including the raising of purchase orders and progress chasing. Ensure that all equipment and contracts are correctly specified and ordered for delivery at the required time, negotiating best cost and terms of payment for all purchased goods.
- The training and related activities/documentation to achieve the effective handover of operating plants to our Customer's, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
- The budgeting of components and related activities/documentation to comply with the tendering process in a timescale to meet Customer's requirements.
- To ensure an understanding of all project related Health & Safety requirements, to include conversance with the Company's, Customer's and general legal standards.
- The accurate estimation of project hours and components and related activities/documentation to comply with the tendering process in a timescale to meet Customer's requirements.
- To ensure a full understanding of and compliance with the FMA Quality System and related documentation, and its successful application to all aspects of project control.
- Auditing of Project Master Files to ensure compliance with the company's ISO 9001 quality system, and implementing preventative measures and corrective actions where necessary.
- Responsible for the addition, organisation, and updating of the electrical literature element within the company's Catalogue System.
- Subjectively participate in improving the company's existing standards, and to facilitate the introduction of new ISO forms, Electrical and Instrumentation standards/guidelines, and working methods/procedures where identified.
- Compliance with the Company's General Conditions of Employment.
- Ensure a professional and tidy approach is maintained within the Engineering Department.
- Complete accurate timesheets within the prescribed time limit.
