Electrical Power Engineeer Job

SENIOR ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEER needed for an ONGOING CONTRACT opportunity at Yoh's client located in Greenville, SC. This position will start in September.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform electrical power engineering for industrial facilities (chemical industry) including: low, medium and high voltage design and substations with little instruction.
- Specify switchgear, transformers, high voltage Switches, and coordinate vendor drawings.
- Create electrical equipment arrangements, grounding design, lightning protection, schematic diagrams, lighting, and material takeoffs.
- Must be able to apply NEC to design including raceway and cable sizing, and hazardous area considerations.
- Prepare calculations as required to support design. Assemble estimates and work to control budgets.
- Lead and monitor design/drafting of others.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BSEE
- 15 years of experience minimum in performance of engineering of electrical power systems for industrial facilities.
- Minimal supervision required. Ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to perform effective field survey.
- Experience with SmartPlant Electrical is a plus.
- Must be able to travel to client site in TX and work with site engineering staff in industrial plant environment.
- MicroStation, (2d and 3d) and AutoCad experience helpful.
