Electrical & Instrumental Mechanic Job

ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTAL MECHANIC needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Martinez, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE- TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Electrical and Instrumentation field
- Must have knowledge on how to read schematics
- Possess an understanding of all applicable electrical codes
- Must be able to work in a hazardous environment wearing appropriate PPE and must be qualified to wear a respirator for potentially hazardous environments
- Prior plant I&E construction experience a plus
- Experience with control systems and automation systems (PLC)

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible for installation and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic components, instruments, sensors and control systems in the plant
- Troubleshooting of electrical control panels, generator control panels, generators and switchgears
- Inspect existing panels to insure proper function and application
- Assist Mechanical Service Crews with equipment repairs and maintenance as needed
- Assemble/disassemble complex equipment and machinery in a high hazard process manufacturing environment
- Assist in Control System Reviews
- Assist engineers and managers in conducting tests
- Assist with quality control program and data recording
- Complete other tasks as requested by Maintenance Manager
- Perform all duties in manner consistent with site safety, health, and environmental policies

- Must be extremely aware of safety procedures and protocol
- Must have good mechanical aptitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Must have strong communication skills
