JOB DESCRIPTION/KEY TASKS

- Perform electrical and physical installation and design qualification testing activities for the combat system to be installed on UK submarines.

This will include:

- Definition and development of physical design concepts and solution for the Combat Systems
- Generation of technical requirements, installation drawings and equipment specifications to enable procurement from sub contract suppliers
- Liaison with Combat Systems design team leaders/members, technical authorities, MoD customers and suppliers to agree electrical and physical solutions, coherent with the combat system deign
- Preparation for & presentation at Combat Systems design reviews
- Assessment of requirements compliance and evidence read across from Legacy equipment fits
- Proposal and implementation of equipment test and qualifications methods
- Generation of installation guidance for the Combat Systems to enable equipment installation
- Support to the shipbuilder for Combat Systems physical design and installation issues
