Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervisor

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for an Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervisor for its offshore wind farm project. The Electrical Installation & Commissioning Supervisor will be required to perform day-to-day supervision of electrical installations to ensure quality and progress and to provide control that tests are carried out and documented. Also, to ensure a safe work environment, LV equipment operation, to assist the commissioning manager in planning, implementation and documentation of the installation, supervision and commissioning process within the assigned technical area, such as, but not limited to, LV,MV,HV and SCADA. This role will be for approx. 13 months with a start date of around 18th July 2016 up until approx. 31st July 2017 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. This will be a 5 day working week, 8 hrs. in average.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure planning, implementation and documentation of the commissioning process in the assigned technical area
- Day-to-day management and participate in toolbox meetings, co-ordination and documentation of the commissioning work within the defined technical area
- Ensure that commissioning within the defined technical area is executed effectively and on time
- Ensure that the work is in compliance with the project HSE rules and local legislation
- Ensure that tests are carried out and that commissioning work is documented according to rules, procedures and templates
- Contribute to proactive management, good co-ordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively
- All other activities, as directed by the Commissioning Manager
- Report to O & M facilities Construction Manager in all matters re O&M facilities
- Participate in witnessing of FAT, depend on schedule, SAT - report deviations/troubles to the package manager of equipment.
- Be an active part of the SIT test especially by supporting protection and test engineers
- Participate in the preparation of snagging lists

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 3 years relevant project experience required
- Commissioning and installation/construction experience within field of MV/HV equipment, SCADA, LV, protection and utility installation and components
- Experience with onshore or offshore substation work

SPECIAL PROVISIONS:

- The Consultant must bring his/her PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and mobile telephone
- The Consultant should bring his/her own PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
