ELECTRICAL AND COMPUTER TEST TECHNICIAN DUPONT, WA 18 MONTH CONTRACT

The Tech in this position will perform testing on server computer systems validate power management features and performance/power benchmarks. S/He will set up and configure computer server systems with hardware, BIOS, OS, and install needed tools. The setup will also require re-working motherboard to install measurements hooks. S/He will then take measurements on the system; voltages, currents, and powers at different points in the system under different conditions to validate performance and power management features. Results need to be recorded and analyzed; commonly use Excel and Word as record keeping tools.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience setting up computer systems and working with other experts to debug problems (hardware or software problems)
- Experience with analog measurement equipment; oscilloscopes, active loads, power sources
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and Word for analysis and lab record keeping
- Must have strong communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

- Experience using server computer validation tools; ITP and EMON
- Experience running computer benchmarks; SpecPower, SpecInt, Linpack
- Experience using LabView programs and righting (or editing) basic LabView programs

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: > 5 years

DEGREE REQUIRED: BSET or greater
