Electrical Engineer (Water / Wastewater)

My key Water Client is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer based at their office in Peterborough. You will ensure that EICA designs are deployed effectively, economically and in accordance with all appropriate regulations and specifications to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise profits on contracts. You will report directly to the Design Manager and duties/responsibilities of this role will include;

* Establish and revise EICA design standards, and audit
* Provide design guidance and support to regional delivery teams
* To provide low cost high quality engineering designs to allow the company to minimise risks and maximise sub-programme gain share
* Provide design solutions that meet all the requirements the sub-programme mandates
* Produce design documents which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be purchased, installed and commissioned effectively
* Ensure that standard designs and design practices are utilised wherever possible
* Produce outline electrical, instrumentation and control design on contracts
* Liaise with other design disciplines
* Ensure designs produced and those of sub contractors are in accordance with all appropriate regulations
* Implement latest health and safety regulations and legislation
* Ensure designs are within budget
Qualifications * Previous experience in EICA design in waste/process industry
* Appreciation of automated control systems based on programmable logic controllers (PLC's), supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) systems, human machine interfaces (HMI's) and telemetry
* Process instrumentation experience
* Knowledge of electricity at work regulations
* Knowledge of power distribution systems and associated calculations
* Electrical Engineering degree, HND/BTEC
* Desirable - Chartered Engineer status or member of an engineering institute such as IET, IMC and working towards chartered engineer status
* 17th Edition IEE wiring regulations qualification
