JOB SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is the provision of functional engineering support to the Facilities Engineering department in support of UK production operations. The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for technical integrity within the framework of management of change process.

The Lead Electrical Engineer will report to the Facilities Engineering Team Lead within the Facilities Engineering department and will manage changes electrical systems on operated assets in the UK.  

ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key aspects of the role are to manage and coordinate interfaces, effective work prioritisation, identification of opportunities to improve Asset performance, contract management and effective communication skills.  

- Ensure Facilities Engineering work is delivered in line with safety, production, environmental and financial objectives
- Ensures that both internal and external interfaces and communication are effectively managed.
- Hold regular internal and external meetings to review progress on engineering, prioritisation of work and performance
- Identify and deliver cost effective and technically sound solutions to help provide improved Asset performance and reliability.
- If requested, represent the client at meetings with joint venture partners, industry forums and government bodies
- Provide regular feedback to Facilities Engineering Team Lead on activities, progress, issues, successes, areas of concern and requirements for additional support.
