Electrical Engineer

I am currently recruiting for a leading Oil and Gas operator who is offering an excellent career opportunity for Electrical Engineers and Electrical Specialists. The position of Electrical Engineer offers a fantastic opportunity on a long-term contract basis, with a major operator in Aberdeen on an excellent package.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting operations and site engineering teams in the on-going maintenance and repair of the electrical equipment installed on onshore and offshore sites in accordance with Company procedures, Codes of Practice and business goals.

Main Responsibilities:
*Support operations and site engineering teams in the on-going maintenance and repair of the electrical equipment installed on onshore and offshore sites. Including HV and LV generation, HV/LV switchgear and associated distribution and control systems. HV/LV motor drives, UPS and battery supported systems.
*Provide specialist technical/engineering advice and guidance to site/offshore personnel on the operation and maintenance of plant/equipment
*Contribute to the development of strategies for the maintenance, inspection, testing and condition monitoring of plant/equipment, to improve reliability and minimise failures.
*Conduct technical surveys on site/offshore and at vendor locations, provide technical visit reports with solutions and/or recommendations
*Manage specialist vendors both technical management and contract performance. Participate, as appropriate, in vendor/contractor audits
*Participate in equipment requirements and procurement, vendor assessment, factory acceptance testing, commissioning and handover.
*Conduct ad-hoc technical surveys on site/offshore and at vendor/repair locations, providing detailed technical reports identifying problems and solutions.
*Proactively monitor, review and analyse plant and equipment performance and provide feedback to Line Management.

Requirements:
*Extensive knowledge of Electrical Engineering
*HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering
*Significant Electrical engineering experience (raising/reviewing procedures, specifications, technical reports)
*Significant Electrical operations and maintenance experience
*Valid offshore certification
