Electrical Engineer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER to join our client in Denver, CO.

JOB OVERVIEW:

This is a great opportunity for Mid to Senior level Electrical Engineer with heavy industrial background as this role has a strong potential to turn into permanent position if desired.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Working within the Electrical group, the incumbent will have responsibility for technical engineering and designing for power, mining, and oil and gas EPC projects.
- May lead and manage a small group of designers and engineers.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members and with the customer.
- May provide field support for construction activities associated to the project.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering task.
- Develop Electrical engineering and design leadership for projects.
- Work on electrical studies/datasheets, equipment specifications, procurement packages, bid evaluations, single-line diagram, area classification drawings, power system studies and calculation, and requisitions.
- Interface with the client when required, project team members, the project engineer, and the project manager on all aspects of electrical work in a project from initial planning throughout stages of execution and submittal of packages.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Seven plus (7) years of experience required in Electrical Engineering.
- Mining, oil and gas, or power industry experience is required.
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering; PE Registration is preferred.
- Strong power background; SKM Power Tools system is preferred.
- Familiarity with recognized international codes and standards: NEC and API 500 etc.
- Prior experience with the following is beneficial: Instrumentation and Controls, cable tray sizing, PLC layout/design/installation, and hazardous locations.
