Electrical Engineer

An engineering and construction client has an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer in the El Centro, CA, area. This is a CONTRACT position. The initial assignment is until December 2012 with good potential for a 1 year extension. A monthly Living Allowance will be available for qualified candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Data collection, technical design management and oversight, coordinate with various regulatory agencies, project cost estimation, drafting Request for Proposal (RFP) / statements of work, draft correspondence, as well as attendance / participation in meetings
- Participate in briefings, conferences and provide technical support for design, construction, planning, real estate and other related functions
- Research codes, guidance, policy, criteria, federal laws and regulations and determine their applicability and provide recommendations to effect good technical decisions and successful project execution consistent with CI business practices
- Recommend resolutions of technical issues and apply innovative technical principles, practices and theories

REQUIREMENTS

- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering. PE license in CA is a plus
- Medium to High (12KV) voltage experience - design and field knowledge
- 8+ years of design experience in electrical design, with facilities related design and energy improvement initiatives preferred
- Navy or other federal agency Capital Improvement projects experience a plus
