Electrical Design Engineer, Glasgow, Contract

My client is looking for an electrical design engineer to help out with an increase of school and residential refurbishment and maintenance design work for the next 12 months.

The bulk of the work will be on schools, office buildings and public buildings like museums and libraries with all elements of building services electrical design across a range of projects. The day to day role will consist of using Auto CAD and HEVACOMP for the drawing and cable sizing based in the office with occasional trips to site if required. You must be capable with these tools and have at least 5 years of experience in a similar position having worked on similar projects to qualify for the role. You will need an understanding of how to be compliant to energy efficiency building regulations and have experience of designing upgrades and refurbishments of building services within these regulations and DDA.

A consultancy background is a nice to have but if you have a HNC or degree then you will be of interest, as long as you have 5 years or working experience.
