Role: Electrical Design Engineer

Skills: EPLAN 8 2.3/2.3, of Beckhoff and/or Siemens PLC hardware

Location: Liverpool

Duration: 6 months (Rolling)

Rate: £30/£35ph

JOB SPECIFICATION

Pre-requisites:

*Minimum of 5 years post training experience in Engineering.
*Time served Electrical Engineer or Graduate
*Expert user of EPLAN 8 2.3/2.3 with >2 years usage
*Knowledge of EN 60204 Safety of machinery, Electrical equipment of machines
*Extensive knowledge of machine control systems and safety to EN 13849.
*Knowledge of Beckhoff and/or Siemens PLC hardware.
*Able to follow P&ID diagrams.
*Knowledge of pharmaceutical process market.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both customer and colleagues).
*Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and services.
*Current clean driving licence.
*Current valid passport.

Duties/Responsibilities:

*Ensuring manufacturing records are kept updated and controlled, including scheduling charts.
*Diagnosis and resolution of production and/or field-based problems associated with the current range of Tablet Press machines and ancillary equipment. Can include visits to customer sites.
*Running a Control Electrical Engineering design section, including design testing, 2d AutoCAD drawing maintenance and EPlan 8 2.3
*Working within R&D project teams to create new designs for Controls systems based on Market requirements and new innovation and standards
*Development of appropriate electrical test strategies for both in-house and field service.
*Occasional production support.
*Production of electrical build and test documents in-line with engineering standards.
*Knowledge of all current Industrial Standards and ensuring new directives are reported and met.
*Working with Panel builders to streamline procurement, manufacture and delivery of control panels
*National and international travel when required.
*Operating at all time in accordance with ISO9001
