Electrical Design Engineer

IMMEDIATE NEED: Contract to hire position for Entry Level Electrical Design Engineers with 2+ years of Electrical design experience in Electrical/Instrument drawing design utilizing AutoCAD. Requires a BSEE Degree and ability to develop one-line power diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams and loop diagrams for drafters under the direction of an experienced engineer. Must be able to travel in support of projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Responsible for Electrical / Instrument drawing design utilizing AutoCAD and developing one-line power diagrams, control schematics, wiring diagrams and loop diagrams for drafters
- Prepare and review hazardous area classification drawings and creating P&IDs in Autocad
- Will develop cable schedules, conduit layouts and details from customer standards and specifications
- Will perform voltage drop calculations, conduit fill calculations and grounding requirements per NEC
- Will apply NEC code, NFPA, ArcFlash and other industry standards and utilize MS Project and MS Office software to generate reports and schedules

REQUIREMENTS

- Must have BSEE from an accredited university and have strong technical skills
- Requires a minimum of 2+ years of Electrical design experience
- Must have a solid practical and theoretical background in electricity
- Must have strong technical skills and be detail oriented and have the ability to work independently and under direction of others
- Must be able to work independently and under direction of othersand be action oriented, with ethical values and have a strong 360 support focus
