Electrical Design Engineer

Sr. Electrical Engineering Technician or Electrical Project Engineer contract opportunity at a highly regarded manufacturing firm in the Eastern Cleveland, OH area. Projected one-year assignment. Expected working hours are 24-40 per week. This will fluctuate and therefore a flexible hours/day schedule is negotiable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Verify design drawings against bills of material for industrial systems panels, order all parts, and provide a quality release to manufacturing
- Interfacing with manufacturing to answer questions or overcome problems with the panel layouts and bills of material.
- Interfacing with the product planner to overcome parts problems, such as delivery dates, by possibly finding a substitute part.

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 3+ years experience designing industrial electrical systems
- Working knowledge and/or the ability to add or size components shown on schematics using proper codes (such as UL or NEC) and according to Allen Bradley standards
- Knowledge of business systems for procurement and material tracking (such as SAP or IFS) a plus
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent training or job experience
