Electrical and Instrumentation Designer Job

INSTRUMENTATION AND ELECTRICAL DESIGNER needed for AN ONGOING/LONG TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Cantonment, FL.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- With general oral instructions and specific written procedures and guidelines, prepare designs and detail layouts of Electrical and Instrumentation systems.
- Monitor the work of drafting personnel and coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
- Provide this function for multiple small projects and plant support with no or minimal supervision.
- Develop designs, layouts and details for project and plant support requirements.
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications for compliance with design criteria and satisfaction of overall design requirements.
- Monitor design and drafting work.
- Gather field data, inspect field conditions, and meet with plant personnel in reference to assigned projects.
- Provide Deliverable and Manhour estimates.
- Provide schedules for work assignments.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of field work (walking/climbing/stooping/balancing, etc.)

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Associate Technical Degree or equivalent training in Design and Drafting (Preferred).
- Candidate should be familiar with various standards and codes such as ISA 84 Instrumented Safety and NFPA 70 National Electric Code.
- Proven knowledge, understanding and experience in Industrial Electrical (480 Volt and lower) and Instrumentation.
- 2 or 3D CADD.
- Eight to twelve (8-12) plus years of experience industrial design for chemical facilities.
- MS Office skills.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience working in a large/chemical industrial plant.
