EHS Specialist

Projektbeschreibung
One of our clients, an international company in the pharmaceutical industry currently requires an EHS Specialist
Start: ASAP
Length: min 6 months
Location: South of Brussels
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:
Prevention
- Implement all the safety adviser's missions as defined in the Belgian regulations in this organization under the responsibility of EHSS Senior Manager R&D/QC
- Develop and Implement personnel safety programmes in laboratories, technical and administrative area
- Certifies the safety of chemical product for placement in a SAP Database
- Identify risk at the work place and support Risk analysis amongst the business
- Seek for expertise in the in the EHSS transversal expertise department as appropriate.
- Work in partnership with occupational health and environmental department.
- Review facilities and processes for potential safety risks .
- Conduct safety studies
Behaviour
- Be a facilitator in order to change and improve the safety culture through living safety or other tools
- Communication / training
- Develop specific safety programmes and trains employees
- Teach hazard avoidance and disease prevention
- Monitor the implementation of training programmes
- Lead EHS relays forum
System support
- In collaboration with IT develop and implement systems to upgrade the microorgansisms data base
Audit
- Monitor the adherence to guidelines and policies
- Prepare when needed EHS corporate L3 audit and when relevant L4 audits
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the EHS managers in assuring site compliance to Belgium regulations and GSK policies and standards , minimizing industrial risks and preventing occupational injuries
- Perform workplaces risks screening and analysis (lead specifictaskforces)
- Promote a prevention culture amongst the organization
- Organize emergency response drills
- Issue EHS procedures and specifications
- Help the hierarchical line to analyse incidents, first aids and accidents
- Support and advise line management
PREREQUISITES:
- Education : Master of science of Engineering degree
- Knowledge : Hygiene and safety - Biochemistry-Biology
- Experience : At least 5 years in a EHS department of a similar pharmaceutical company
