EDWH Test Engineer

For our client in Vienna we are currently looking for Professional Test Engineer for EDWH/MIS-HO (m/w)

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Professional Test Engineer for EDWH/MIS-HO possesses good know how of the testing components. He/She is responsible for test case design and the creation of test scenarios.

Furthermore, execution of functional and non-functional test cases and the documentation of test results is within his/her responsibilities.

Tasks
1. Analyze requirements, specifications, design documentation and other project documentation
2. Design functional and non-functional test cases
3. Create test data
4. Support test manager in creating test related reports and test plans
5. Provide technical guidance to Junior-level Test Engineers
6. Liaises with other staff, such as software architects, software engineers, software consultants, test consultants, test engineers, test managers, business analysts and IT Project Managers or Technical Project Managers
7. Execute functional and non-functional test cases
8. Evaluate test results and document test results into the defect racking tool
9. Automate test cases as appropriate and feasible

Technical Skills
1. Very good knowledge in SQL
2. Good knowledge in using HP Quality Center (ex Test Director)
3. Ability to read entity relationship diagrams and physical database models
4. optional/favorable knowledge:
a. Test automation in the context of data ware houses
5. Good knowledge on data base systems (eg Oracle, Informix)
6. Basic knowledge in UNIX
7. Basic knowledge in Shell Scripting
8. Basic knowledge on the defect life cycle

Qualification
1. Masters degree in a technical study
2. Very good written and spoken command of English or German language
3. Certificate in software quality assurance

Experience
1. At least 3 years of software quality assurance
2. Experience in Datawarehouse testing
