Education & Training Services Manager

OPPORTUNITY WITHIN A LARGE, PRESTIGIOUS ENVIROMENT

This is a job opportunity for a long term contract within a prestigious Government organisation.

This Academy delivers over 500 different courses to personnel from the Defence & Security communities, including international students. The HQ T&E (training and education) department coordinates T&E policy & assurance, disseminates good practice & provides consultancy support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The post holder advises the management elements, course managers & instructors across the various colleges in the Academy on T&E issues. Responsibilities include the provision of T&E advice (concerning needs analysis, curriculum design & development, T&E delivery, assessment & evaluation), delivery of instructor induction training (two day course), T&E assurance, best practice dissemination and policy development. The post holder also supports the development of T&E policy, maintains the Academy's T&E quality manual and supports continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

A confident, persuasive and intelligent individual with excellent communication skills (writtenprior experience of Government training and education, experience of Government staff work/management work, ability to work in a busy HQ team and on a consultancy basis in a variety of training and education delivery Colleges.

Highly desirable:

Qualified teacher/instructor with a good understanding of a Government Systems Approach to Training.
