Editor, Shipping - Oil (Midstream) ~£35K-45K My client is currently seeking an experienced news and market editor to join their oil team in London. Responsibilities will include producing fundamental market and news coverage on both a real-time and daily basis. The main focus of the role will be reporting and editing news related to the Oil Shipping Markets and in particular the European Tanker Freight Markets by producing daily market reports and price assessments. Further responsibilities will include writing commentaries to provide further insight and analysis into the commodities markets including regulatory issues, supply and demand economic trends. Furthermore you will build strong external relationships with information providers. You Must Have? - BA/BSc Degree with some writing / reporting / analytical experience. - Knowledge and understanding of the Oil Industry (Shipping, Midstream is Essential). - Applicants must be numerate, be able to generate high-quality copy, work well under pressure and be a strong team player. - Excellent English skills are required - any further European languages would be an advantage. - Strong Verbal and communication skills. - Initiative, close attention to detail and ability to write and edit under daily deadline pressure are vital. - Collegiality is also key; the job entails working closely not only with a number of editorial colleagues but also IT, marketing and other departments.
