EDI/XML Data Transformation Specialist

EDI/XML data transformation specialist
As the EDI/XML data transformation specialist you will ensure that the company is able to process the business transactions received/send by other companies using electronic channels. The duties include designing, developing and enhancing the current system, and monitoring the EDI/XML messaging processing daily. You will enable computers with different operating systems to exchange data together. This may be business-to-business (B2B), business-to-consumer (B2C), or even internal business transactions. You will take the appropriate measures to ensure smooth and efficient data flows. You will use tools to validate/transform data from EDI/XML to other format. You will troubleshoot any issue related to the data processing, ranging from the EDI/XML standards to the database upload.
Core accountabilities
- Implementing solutions to enhance or extend the enterprise EDI/XML platform
- Developing and producing transformations maps
- Providing operational and technical support for projects
- Setting up new partnerships via B2B gateways
- Administering, installing, supporting, and monitoring EDI/XML solutions
- Occasional testing of software updates, training others in the use of current tools, and continued learning of new EDI/XML versions and techniques
- Creating new dashboard to offer metadata visibility through Sentinel
- Collect/aggregate data to offer historical trends
Essential qualities
- 1-3 years experience in Information Technology
- Prior experience with transportation EDI transactions and maps
- EDIFACT understanding and experience
- XML understanding and experience
- Linux experience
- Axway Synchrony 4/5
- Integrator
- Composer
- Sentinel
- Event Router
- Gateway/Secure transport
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player
Desirable qualities
- XML transformations
- Oracle SQL queries
- AS2, FTPS, SFTP, HTTP data transfers
- MFT (manage file transfer)/CFT
- VMware
- Wider knowledge of Axway products
- language: English (and preferably knowledge of Dutch of French)
