Ecommerce Subject Matter Expert

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

- Seeking Ecommerce Subject Matter Expert who will bring expertise and industry knowledge in trends, product capabilities and vendor solutions in the eCommerce market.
- Proven solid experience in website technology, mainstream eCommerce platform and multiple implementation models (ie hosted, Saas, packaged product and custom). Work alongside project team in the sourcing and discovery process for providing an eCommerce solution that meet business requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Expert in Internet tools/technologies and best practices in building eCommerce strategies.
- Building multi-channel retail businesses from scratch
- Helping retailers define and re-engineer business and technical processes
- Coaching retailers in 'best fit' solutions
- Managing RFP and selection processes
- Facilitating critical technology decisions in support of business objectives
- Define creative, functional, and technical requirements now and in the foreseeable future
- Ability to assess SEO needs
- Design information architecture, wireframes, site maps and process flows
- Review vendor responses and help select best third party offering for integration
- Provide thought leadership and direction in understanding key eCommerce components.
- Hands-on involvement in eliciting strategic, functional, operational and technical requirements from stakeholders.
- Provide targeted recommendations for functional, merchandising, marketing, operations and sales strategies.
- Expert understanding in all aspects of social media and how it works for an eCommerce business
