Ecommerce Solution Architect

eCommerce Solution Architect for an entirely new web site to sell data related products to the consumer industry. This is more a traditional solution architecture role where you will be fairly hands on and responsible for the production of low level designs.

ROLE: eCommerce Solution Architect

LOCATION: City of London

DURATION: 6 months

START DATE: ASAP

KEY SKILLS: Retail E-commerce architecture, experience of designing transaction web sites from the ground up, low level design, single sign on, web portals

THE ROLE

You will be responsible for the design, technology and vendor selection of a brand new eCommerce web portal for one the country's largest companies.

Creation and maintenance of the low and high level design and ensuring it adheres to business requirements

Integrate with existing web site

Own definition, evaluation and recommendation of solution architecture descriptions, then monitoring and governing the implementation of the architecture

Ensure that supplier and solution designs meets the company standards

You will be involved in the bid and tendering processes

Experience of project costing and estimation.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

-

Have been the Solution Architect on the development of large scale E-commerce web site, ideally in the retail industry.

Good knowledge of architecture across applications, integration data and infrastructure architecture with a deep dive in integration and applications.

Technology agnostic and aware of the products and trends in the eCommerce and digital arenas.

Experience of designing and implementing RESTful web services

Happy to work in fairly hands on role with the production of low level designs etc.

Have been part of a technology/vendor selection and costing process
