EC&I Engineer

Our client is seeking an Engineering & Safety Engineer to support the Project Leader (Design & Engineering) to project manage the design phase for large projects ensuring delivery to scope, schedule and cost with acceptable quality, environment and safety.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE:
The position is for an experienced EC&I engineer to work on a variety of tasks in at Hunterston A. The tasks vary from the assessment of existing nuclear safety related equipment, to design and implementation of EC&I new designs, review of contr

actor supplied design on behalf of the Design Authority and assistance in commissioning of new systems at site. Applicants should be familiar with working to the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000, IEC 61508, the IEE Wiring Regulations (17th Edition), Low Voltage Directive and the EMC directive and practices.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
HND/HNC in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronic or Control and Instrumentation or equivalent.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or HND in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronic or Control and Instrumentation.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience working on the design of nuclear installations to meet nuclear safety case requirements and experience of the production of nuclear safety case submissions would be ideal but is not essential. Candidates with experience of high integrity systems/equipment in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, or transportation industries would be considered.
