EC&I Design Engineer

I am currently working with a client based in Yorkshire who are looking for a design engineer on a contract basis.

Some of the duties involved will be working with the Senior Engineer the role involves the detailed design of all electrical, control and instrumentation. This includes designs of control systems.

Working within a team of EC&I Engineers you will be responsible for the design including cable calculations, sizing and specifying control and instrumentation cabling, production of cable schedules and interconnection schedules. Other duties will include lighting design, Fire / Gas alarm design.

You will be expected to take the lead on projects and be responsible for taking a concept design from the Energy solutions department and producing a fully detailed design for the projects team to install.

Main Duties

·To make sure all design issues are dealt with

·Involved with all electrical design aspects of projects

·To take the lead design role with electrical, control and instrumentation on specific projects

·To compile design specifications and drawings

·Being cost effective with budgets and adhering to clients needs also

·Liaising with Clients and customers if needed

Other requirements

qualified to HNC\HND level with experience in a design environment

··Chartered Engineer status, or working towards, would be an advantage

·Excellent understanding of systems design and control principles

·An excellent knowledge of board fault levels and calculations.

·Good knowledge of Building Maintenance Systems, CHP, Biomass, gasification, geothermal and other renewable technologies

·Competent in AutoCAD
