Equity Advisor Solutions is seeking an Internal Business Development Consultant to join our team. Together with our custodial affiliate, Equity Trust Company, we support custody and Back Office solutions for financial professionals, broker dealers, and registered investment advisors. Equity Trust Company serves more than 140,000 clients across the nation with $12 billion in assets under administration.
The Internal Business Development Consultant will be responsible for selling the custody and Back Office services through the use of a consultative process. Due to our rapid expansion we are seeking to add a qualified team member to our internal business development team.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Design and implement a results-oriented plan for an assigned channel within a specified assigned region
Provide sales support for VP of Business development and regional Business Development Officers (BDO)
Generate new leads through cold calls, e-mail campaigns, tradeshow list follow up, and call in leads.
Set appointments for BDO's
Travel to tradeshows or appointments as needed, via car/air.
Handle unique customer service issues that fall between sales and service.
Provide technology demo's to prospects.
Follow up on collateral requests.
Provide pre and post tradeshow support.
Analyze sales trends to develop target lists for potential clients
Work with Relationship Managers to successfully manage the on-boarding of new clients
Create a marketing and sales plan to help reach the company's goals
Meet or exceed annual sales goal, defined by the company's executive management team
Establish and maintain solid relationships with both prospective and existing clients
Perform special assignments as directed by supervisor
Document information regarding sales calls into a CRM (client relationship management) system

Essential Education/Training/Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree, supplemented by additional study in related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of post-graduate work experience, preferably in a relationship building sales environment
3+ years working directly with institutional clients, custody sales, registered investment advisors, and/or broker-dealers
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the financial industry including advisers, financial planning, turnkey asset management programs, and mutual funds
Proven track record of consistent sales success and closing
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills
Experience utilizing a CRM system
