Early Years Deputy Manager

We are looking for an Early Years Deputy Manager NVQ3 or equivalent.

Below are some of the essentials needed for the role:

Significant, knowledge, understanding and experience of working directly with children 0-8 years. Promoting the importance of play within a childcare setting. Have a specific interest in working with children with special needs.

Significant Knowledge of and experience of working and planning within the Foundation Stage Curriculum and Birth to Three Matters Framework.

A willingness to work with and support children who have high care and complex needs; including a willingness and ability to participate in lifting and manual handling procedures and to carry out specialist medical procedures (with training).

A willingness to work towards the development of a range of services at the Children's Centre which offer support to children with disabilities and their families.

Ability to lead a team, to plan and organise an education environment which is stimulating, fun and imaginative for individual children and groups, and the ability to lead on and support work with children with special educational needs.

Ability to provide line management support, advice and supervision to a small team as required by the Early Years Manager. The ability to deputise in the absence of the Early Years Manager, in relation to the day to day management of Rainbow Nursery. ability to assist in the management of budgets and prepare financial returns in accordance with the Society's procedures.
