IS SEEKING A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL TO JOIN OUR TEAM OF EAP CLINICAL COUNSELORS. THIS PART TIME (UP TO 30 HOURS/WEEK) POSITION WILL BE BASED OUT OF OUR AKRON, OH OFFICE. THE TEAM PROVIDES DIRECT SERVICES TO EMPLOYEES, FAMILY MEMBERS AND EMPLOYERS ON A WIDE SCALE INCLUDING TELEPHONIC, IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL SHORT TERM COUNSELING, PYCHO-SOCIAL ASSESSMENTS, CLINICAL CASE MANAGEMENT, WORKPLACE CONSULTATIONS AND COMMUNITY REFERRALS. OPPORTUNITIES FOR FACILITATING WORKSITE TRAINING ARE AVAILABLE.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinates referrals to external providers for services beyond the EAP program as needed.
- Provides crises intervention services including guidance, direction and resource referral. Arranges emergency appointments, as needed.
- Supports Intake functions including: screening and assessment services and referrals as needed.
- Supports on-call services as needed.
- Participates in weekly supervision, weekly group meetings, monthly staff meetings and training and seminars to enhance skills.
- Delivers telephonic, in-person, virtual counseling services in a responsive, efficient, ethical and professional manner. Maintaining client confidentiality as expected by ethical standards.
- Adheres to the applicable ethical, therapeutic, and legal standards, which govern service delivery, as well as policies, procedures and laws, which apply to the organization as appropriate
- Refers clients to appropriate resources and thoroughly maintains clinical documentation in computerized system for follow-up regarding clinical and work-life services.
- Assessments completed with clients expressing various issues eg substance abuse, mental health, and family concerns that may be impacting work performance.
- Enter and maintain accurate and timely clinical records and related documentation
- Completes timely follow-up calls to clients where necessary.
- Maintains clinical documentation in computerized system.
- Works cooperatively with the Clinical Manager for performance and case supervision
- Undertakes additional tasks as identified by the clinical management team.

MUST HAVES/SKILLS:

Masters Degree in social work or a related field and direct practice experience, including independent licensure in Ohio (PCC, LISW or equivalent). Chemical Dependency experience preferred. EAP experience and familiarity with organizational cultures. Demonstrate skills in assessment and short-term counseling that engages client in achieving problem resolution. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, public speaking experience a plus. Ability to work cooperatively as a team member and be able to organize and manage multiple priorities. Experience with case management software and Microsoft Office programs. Willingness to gain skills in Critical Incident Stress Management services. Primary satellite office location to be assigned, but must be willing to travel locally as needed.
