E&P Electrical Engineer

We have a requirement for a E&P Electrical Engineer to work for one of Europes leading suppliers of the railway infrastructure services.

This is a contract position for 12 months, based in Swindon and the salary is negotiable

Main Purpose of Role:

Complete Maintenance and failure diagnosis of low voltage electrical, communications, mechanical plant and systems. Monitoring of performance of systems identifying trends and potential performance issues such that they are rectified before failure occurs.

Core Accountabilities include the following:

*Production and maintenance of the Engineering Assurance Plan and the engineering elements of the Maintenance Plan.
*Management, supervision and assistance of third party planned and reactive maintenance.
*Management and supervision of minor installation and testing works as required.
*Supervision and assistance of third party planned and reactive maintenance.
*Managing site safety for planned and reactive maintenance activities.
*Manage all maintenance tools, spares, plant and equipment.
*Review logs and incident reports and manage reactive maintenance.
*Installation and testing as required.
*Failure diagnosis to identify & rectify root causes of electrical and comms system failures.

Report Preparation:

*Provide complete and accurate maintenance records and reports
*Technical incident reports
*Test reports

*Other members of the Maintenance Team
*Sub-contractors and Suppliers
*Staff of the Concessionaires and DLR

Most Challenging and/or Difficulty Parts of the Job:

Rectification of failures within contractual time frames ensuring root cause has been identified and rectified to prevent re-occurrence.

Experience, Knowledge, Qualifications & Training:

*Qualified in low voltage electrical installation and testing.
*Technical experience of railway LV electrical & comms systems essential.
*Ability to work on own initiative with a good level of self motivation, time management and communication skills
