An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced E-LEARNING SYSTEM OFFICER to provide Service Desk support and assistance to staff using the blended learning management system and associated technologies.

Reporting to the Blended Learning Systems Administrator, you will provide specialised technical advice on the use of blended learning systems, resolving system and user difficulties in accordance with established protocols to ensure the optimal use of blended learning within the organisation.

YOUR DUTIES:

- Perform identified system administration tasks in accordance with established protocols for a variety of blended learning systems
- Actioning, resolving, monitoring and reporting on technical problems and access difficulties through the E-learning Service Desk for first, second and third tier incidents and requests
- Investigate and verify access to blended learning systems by staff
- Undertake testing of blended learning systems as outlined by the Blended Learning Systems Administrator and in consultation with stakeholders
- Assist with reports on Blended Learning Service Desk activities including types of enquiries received and trends of problems being experienced by staff
- Participate in the continuing review, improvement and implementation of blended learning systems, technologies and related support services

YOUR BACKGROUND:

- Relevant experience providing technical client support and training in a Help Desk environment or similar.
- Demonstrated strengths in computer literacy and Internet technologies and the ability to detect and resolve first, second and third level technical and system problems
- Experience with MOODLE and BLACKBOARD is highly desirable
- Proven experience undertaking assigned system administration tasks on a large complex system
- High level customer service skills and the ability to provide timely advice and assistance on technical and computer based systems
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and consultation skills
- The ability to take initiative, work as part of a team and also work autonomously
- An understanding of risk management and actively support and participate in the risk management processes including the identification, analysis and evaluation of risks that may impact on the organisation.
