E-Commerce Service Delivery Manager

My client is a leading name in Retail based in the Midlands and turns over £600 million.

They currently outsource their website and E-commerce provisions to a particular provider, but are now moving to a new provider. They need an experienced E-commerce Service Delivery Manager to come on board and manage the relationship with this supplier (and others) to ensure they are delivering their support SLA, projects and maintenance agreements on time and to budget.

A key component of this role will be to manage the transition from one provder to the next, to ensure there is minimal disruption together with helping the team move from a Waterfall methodology to Agile (very important).

The successful candidate will come from a retail background with at least 5 years' experience of working on E-commerce deliveries and has a good understanding of IBM WebSphere. Being able to communicate credibly with technically minded people around this technology is essential, as is the ability to react and meet the needs of the business and 'push back' as and when required (eg about restraints of the website) and land difficult messages, whilst always keeping people engaged and 'bought in'.

Essential: 

- years + experience of working in a Web/E-commerce trading environment 
- Experience of supporting large Retail organisations deliver E-commerce solutions 
- Strong team management and stakeholder engagement abilities 
- ITIL qualified 
- Experience of Agile methodology
