E-Commerce & ICT Management Consultant

We are seeking an experienced IT management consultant who has a strong commercial background with developing E-commerce strategy. In this role you will assist in advising our client on how to best structure their IT department and approach, addressing some of their future business plans through technology. As a medium sized Australian company, with a long history behind them, they have identified areas that they would like their IT department to focus on, particularly around their digital and online marketing capability.

Key elements of this role's function include:

- Reviewing the business goals and how IT will provide solutions to meet those goals;
- Assess the internal IT team's capabilities, identify gaps, and provide recommendations;
- Provide analysis skills around applications and gaps in terms of meeting the business' needs;
- Provide advice on how to improve business marketing and digital presence in order to drive sales growth online;
- Monitor and analyse the current approach to project delivery and project management, discover problems or issues, and provide advice on improved performance and processes.

We are looking for candidates who have:

- Significant experience in senior ICT managerial roles, preferably with an applications background;
- Very strong, recent experience with developing Digital strategy, to bring businesses online and grow sales;
- Experience with mid sized commercial business is preferred;
- E-commerce strategy development experience with businesses who primarily sell to consumers rather than B2B;
- Software development project management experience; and
- Experience assessing processes, practices and people and conducting ICT reviews.

The contract will initially run for three months, with a possibility for another three month extension.

The requirements for this role are fairly specific, so only candidates with a strong commercial focus, with mid sized businesses and a strong E-commerce/Digital background will be considered.
