A Dynamics AX Developer (X++) is urgently requires by my client

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

To be involved in all aspects of developing software

- Development, testing and updating of release notes/documentation
- Specification, estimation and prototyping
- Development of new features and functionality
- Product maintenance
- Provide third line product support
- Collaborating with other members of the team (on-shore and off-shore)
- Performing internal knowledge shares
- Dynamics AX Development (X++)

To work independently or as part of a team on development projects and ensure that the final solution meets the agreed requirements and is delivered on time.

To provide regular up dates on the progress of projects to the Project Manager and Development Manager

KEY RESULT AREAS:

Produce high quality, performance software coding standards and architectural guidelines.
Self-manage project work from task allocation, estimation and specification to implementation and documentation.
Work with technical architects and the development manager on the low level design of the software.
Work with the technical author to ensure documentation is kept up to date in line with software changes.
Work with the project manager and development manager to ensure work is delivered on time and to the required standard.
Provide feedback and estimations as requested by project manager for new backlog items.
Active participation in scrum sessions and other team meetings.
Provide timely assistance and solutions for technical support issues.
Awareness of open defect lists.
Pro-actively participate in improving the development process
Any other duties as reasonably requested

KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Experienced software developer in technologies relevant to the role
Knowledge of database design & principles
Experience of delivering highly scalable, performant, distributed software solutions.
Experience of working within a software house environment
Knowledge of business process software, workflow and document automation
Knowledge of the legal market
Excellent communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and with other team members - although this is an individual contributor' role, it is expected that the candidate will collaborate and work effectively with other members of the team both on-shore and off-shore. This includes working in a team on a project, carrying out peer reviews & working with QA and support teams to resolve customer issues.

COMMUNICATION:

KEY COMMUNICATION POINTS WILL BE:

- Project Manager and Development manager for project updates, planning and estimation discussions
- Technical architects, Senior Developers and development manager for technical design and implementation discussions
- On-shore and off-shore Developers to collaborate on development, review code, offer mutual guidance and support
- Business analysts and product managers to understand client requirements and explain technical solutions to those requirements
- Colleagues outside the development team and external clients as required for knowledge sharing activities
- Support analysts for assisting with technical support queries and resolving customer issues.
- QA analysts for assisting with analysing and resolving issues found during testing
