For our banking client in Zürich we are currently looking for a DWH BI Developer:

ROLE DESCRIPTION FOR SENIOR DWH/BI SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR/ENGINEER

OUR DEPARTMENT:

The team provides IT services as maintenance, enhancement and development for BI&S applications in terms of standard reporting, BI services on Management level as well as bespoken transactional based applications such as MySTT and Flow of Funds.

SHORT PROJECT AND ENVIRONMENT DESCRIPTION:

The BI2 application is a key strategic project providing Standard Reporting and Self Service BI capabilities to the business. Standard Reporting includes Client Reporting, Product Reporting and Performance Reporting. Self Service BI provides a framework and environment of tools and capabilities for business users to develop adhoc solutions according to demand from end users including regulatory and compliance departments.

The platform is built on a large Oracle Data Warehouse extended and integrated with Microsoft BI tools to cover Multi dimensional Data Bases (SSAS cubes) along with sophisticated Reporting services. An architectural and technical key focus area is the protection of customer identifiable data. The roles main task is to support the Production and the Operation of the whole complex environment.

YOU OFFER

We are looking for a Senior DWH/BI Systems Administrator/Engineer

- Practical technical experience with Microsoft BI technologies especially SSRS, SSIS and SSAS
- Practical knowledge of Scripting SQL queries and development of stored procedures
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Oracle and o SQL DBs is a great plus
- Knowledge of Jira, Control-M, PowerCenter and a script language is a plus
- Ability to learn fast and willingness to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the environment
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Fluent in English, German considered a plus.
- Ability to be able to work concurrently on a number of different topics and to be able to change focus quickly as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES...

The environment is very complex, the role demands a strong technical background

- Manage the operational and administrative tasks to operate the system in a comprehensible mode, ensuring strict segregation of duties.
- Being responsible for complex data access roles and tracking and managing all kind of user requests
- Regular Deploying of new Releases together with team members
- Working to project schedules and providing accurate and timely feedback for any assigned task
- Working with other Administrators, Engineers and Developers to solve third level issues, to engineer technical solutions and to continuously improve scalability, robustness and performance of the whole system.
- On regular basis interact and collaborate with team members in Zurich and Wroclaw
- Provide day-2-day technical support to peers and third level production team
- Participate on regular stand ups and all other agile/scrum based processes where required
