DV Cleared Sequencer/Packager

Client is UK Government. Solvings was chosen to package large number of applications into installation packages, test the installation and provide working installation packages to client. This role will be delivered on client site. Client's location is confidential and will be disclosed to chosen candidates at the later stage.

Sequencer/Packager:

gather and document the necessary information to package the applications

Scheduling and interviewing nominated Application SMEs, Reviewing the application documentation

Define sequencing/packaging approach for application

Test and document the installation and configuration steps and settings

Capture a UAT script for the application

Sequence or Package the application using App-V or Flexera Admin Studio

Resolve any sequencing problems

Test deploy and check the application

Debug any issues evaluating GPO and GAP constraints.

Support business users UAT of the application, identifying and categorising any challenges.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

Microsoft Application packaging and deployment systems including App-V v5 (mandatory)

Experience of application deployment using RDS (mandatory) and Citrix XenDesktop (desirable)

Packaging applications (Mandatory) using Flexera Admin Studio (Desirable)

Experience in locked-down environments (mandatory) and with Microsoft GAP (desirable)

BUSINESS SKILLS REQUIRED:

Ability to own a "portfolio" of applications and scheduling own time to maximise throughput.

Experience of deployment in a highly secure environments (IL6)

Good verbal and written communications: able to liaise with business users directly.
