*REAL TIME CONSULTANTS LTD ARE CURRENTLY SEEKING DEVELOPED VETTING (DV) CLEARED, PRINCE 2 PRACTITIONER CERTIFIED PROJECT SUPPORT OFFICERS (PSO) FOR LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITIONS IN THE SOUTHWEST*

Ideal candidates will have Developed Vetting (DV) clearance, be coming towards the end of service their service careers within the Air force, Military or Navy and seeking their first position in order to develop Project Management skills already gained while serving. Due to the environment of the Project Management Office (PMO) individuals will require a Prince 2 Practitioner Qualification.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

You will be expected to support a number of Projects/Project Managers through important stages of delivery, daily tasks will include but not be restricted to the following;

PLANNING

- Create/Maintain 'Breakdown Structure' documentation using information from Project Managers.
- Develop activity plans.
- Assist with production of Cost and Resource plans.
- Create clear and concise narratives for Project plans.
- Update plans with data including relevant status of milestones/activities in-line with reporting cycle and procedure.
- Advise Project Management team in matters relating to exceptions/issues with plan.

RISK & ISSUES MANAGEMENT

- Set-up & maintain project Risk & Issues Log
- Support the production of Rick Plans
- Update Risk log as and when appropriate
- Escalate to Programme when appropriate
- Attend & Support Risk & Issues review meetings

FINANCE

Supporting Project Manager in providing consistent financial updates that underpin Project/Programme monitoring and reporting. Review and update expenditure against project budget. Create and approve requisitions, invoices, distribution of funds as required by PM.

MEETING SUPPORT

- Attending financial and progress meetings
- Organise meetings along with agenda
- Record minutes/details and update logs and appropriate team members as per meetings

REPORTING

- Highlight reports
- Exception reports
- Checkpoint reports

DESIRABLE CHARACTERISTICS/EXPERIENCE

You will have obtained skills in a range of project management techniques and methods over your service career and be comfortable applying these to relevant situations. The ability to use initiative and contribute to the project/task with creative thinking. Flexible team player that is happy to undertake a range of tasks and embed themselves into the clients team and ethos. Effective communication skills when contributing in meetings/briefings. Driven to display ability and quality deliverables even if this means developing existing methods of delivery. Continuously develop knowledge/expertise in management tools and methodologies.
