DV Cleared Build Engineer

Our client, a large government organisation, is looking for two Desktop Build Engineers to join their busy migration team.

Within this role you can expect to support a site-wide Windows 7 deployment meeting the demands of the rollout team as they migrate large numbers of end users from XP to Windows 7 deploying both Citrix and thick client desktops.

To be considered for this role you will have worked in a large, complex, secure technical project delivery environment with proven experience with Windows deployments.

This is initially a three month contract however this is likely to extend for the right candidates.

Reporting to the Desktop Deployment Manager, the role requires:

- Collection and machine unpacking
- PAT Test (electrical safety test)
- Asset control - inc Controllable asset handling
- Machine building from the gold image using configuration manager
- Potentially some manual application installation
- Packaging up ready for rollout engineer deployment
- Storage and decommission of old desktops
- Verification of asset swap
- DV clearance
