We are currently seeking an experienced DV CLEARED ARMOUR ENGINEER required to support projects in the areas of armour engineering and design, armour repair, armour disposal, knowledge management (database creation) and configuration control. There is also a need to transfer knowledge from the experience contractor(s) to client's staff as part of succession planning.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Generate a paper on the history of heavy armour technologies and engineeing
2. Support three armour engineering projects for client's customers
3. Provide adhoc engineering advice and technical support to projects

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. 10 to 20 years experience in Armour Engineering
2. Deep understanding of mechanics and engineering principals
3. Understanding of blast and ballistic threats
4. Understanding of MOD capability and its platforms, mainly vehicles
5. Understanding of dynamic response of materials

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Degree and/or PhD in Engineering related subject
