Duty Manager

PROJECT OVERVIEW
* Position: Duty Manager * Location: Thurso, Caithness, Highlands * Length:12 months * Hours: 37.85 per week * Rate: £19 to £25.50 per hour

OBJECTIVE
The main purpose of the post is to maintain a safe working environment within the area of their responsibility including operating and controlling the safe system of work.

DELIVERABLES
* Be responsible for ensuring the correct response to alarms * Be responsible for ensuring that plant safety related equipment is available * Ensure that all work at the facility is compliant with the Limits and Conditions * Review, prepare and ensure compliance with the Works Control process * Perform the responsibilities of Permit Issuer * Perform the responsibilities of other Management Appointments relevant to post

KEY SKILLS
* A proven track record within nuclear or heavy industrial plant operations * Previous supervisory experience * Experience in production or review / approval of work packs / risk assessments / method statements * Experience in permit to work issues / systems * Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team * Ability to communicate with staff at all levels

PAY RATE DETAILS
£19 to £25.50 per hour
