Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Sharepoint Developer to join a prestigious client located in Hasselt, Belgium. This is a contract position with a duration of 10 months.
Our Client:-
The Ministry of the Flemish Community (MVG) was from January 1, 1983 to January 1, 2006 the official organization of the Government of Flanders, where the Flemish Government policy is implemented. The ministry was divided into departments were headed by a Secretary-General. The departments knew another subdivision in administrations. The administrations were led by a Director General.
Your New role:-
We are looking for a SharePoint developer for a project within Waterways and Zeekanaal NV and nv De Vlaamse Waterweg. The SharePoint Developer is in charge of configuring, setting up and maintaining the Intranet SharePoint platform. He works with the project leader/analyst on the realization of the new Intranet. The workplace is in the offices of Waterways and Zeekanaal or nv De Vlaamse Waterweg.
Waterways and Zeekanaal NV (W and Z) and NV The Flemish Waterway manages waterways and waterborne soils in Flanders. To contribute to better mobility in Flanders by stimulating and expanding inland navigation. To exploit, maintain and invest in these waterways, develop them in their function and support new developments. At the same time, we protect the population from water pollution by continuously ensuring proper drainage of water and establishing dikes and controlled flooding areas.
We care for the environment and safety, as well as human in general, as a priority. We also build the recreational features of the waterways for hikers, fishermen, cyclists, water enthusiasts and pleasure enthusiasts. All these activities are done with respect for the many features of these waterways. Both entities plan to start a merger and wish to start a joint Intranet in the short term.
Your Skills and experience:-
Essential Skills:-
- You are a driven ICT professional with a general technological knowledge and passion for communication and marketing.
- SharePoint functional/technical knowledge is necessary
- Understand the DOS and donts of an Intranet and be able to communicate with aspects such as user management, ... with ICT staff and communication staff.
- You are familiar with a project-based approach and have your first experiences with agile/scrum developments.
Importantly, the developer has a clear knowledge of the specific SharePoint laws applicable to SharePoint Developments.
In addition, the developer has knowledge of installation and configuration of SharePoint. The developer understands the effects of certain configuration choices on the environment.
Some activities of the SharePoint developer:
- Problem analysis on the SharePoint platform.
- Configure SharePoint.
- Follow-up of the activities of the suppliers who
Provide support for the particular parts of the SharePoint environment.
- Technical testing for changes.
- Set up and support site in online environment
- Proactive management/maintenance of SharePoint environments.
- Setup and maintenance of the Intranet on SharePoint.
The SharePoint developer can demonstrate the following experience:
- About 3 to 4 years of experience with SharePoint development and configuration
- Experience with .NET developments
- Experience with SharePoint 2013 and SQL
- Experience with the combined use of a SharePoint environment with Nintex or similar tools is a plus.
