Dutch Speaking SAS Expert

Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch Speaking SAS Expert for our client based in Brussels, Belgium

OUR CLIENT:-

Our client offers network solutions for electricity, natural gas, heating and public lighting. The company also plays an important social role in achieving climate objectives, combating energy poverty and the independent management of energy data.

YOUR NEW ROLE:-

For various projects and maintenance contractsur client is looking for an experienced SAS Analytics Consultant.

Helps business by gaining new insights from data, through the use of appropriate analytics techniques depending on the specific business context.

You guide the business and works closely with them to complex (business) issues related to large volumes/complex data, address and resolve.

By applying the appropriate techniques in analytics function of the specific context build descriptive and predictive models that expose complex patterns in the data.

You choose the appropriate visualization techniques to make as clear as possible insights.

By your technical background you can handle the demands of the business - end-to-end: you're so into the needs analysis, the technical data processing and transformation (eg in SAS DI) and the visualization and/or reporting thereof.

IN ADDITION, YOU PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO THE SAS BI TEAM:

- Implement the daily - keep it running- activities
- Incident and Problem Management
- Capacity Management
- Availability Management
- Monitoring and assisting with planned interventions by the outsourcing partner
- System so that the performance can be guaranteed
- Follow-up change and release process

Technical context - Very good knowledge of SAS: SAS Visual Analytics Visual Statistics, E-guide, e-Miner and SAS Base.
- Good knowledge of other analytics tools on the market, methods and recent innovations.
- Good knowledge of statistical methods for data analysis and transformation (data distributions, testing, rescaling).
- Good knowledge of various predictive and descriptive analytics algorithms such as decision trees, linear/logistic regression, clustering, ranking, boosting, forecasting.
- Good knowledge of various statistical methods for model evaluation as true/false positives, ROC, F-measure, lift, confidence, precision, recall,
- Basic notions of GIS

Experience on similar assignments like this. In particular:

- Have experience in coaching business in developing analytical issues with the business in a self-service mode uses i.a. said SAS software.
- Have experience in the role of - data scientist- involving business issues in an iterative manner to be translated into business insights that are used useful analytical/statistical algorithms and models.
- Experience in technical data processing and transformation aid of SAS DI eGuide and SAS Base.
- Experience with various visualization techniques depending on the specific context

Business context You come into a team intercepted by BI experts, including some with SAS expertise within the ICT service - Business Applications Support Services - Business Intelligence

DESIRABLE SKILLS:-

Additional job information

- Ability to translate business issues specific to concrete technical solutions in analytics tools, especially SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Statistics and e-Miner.
- To be both ICT and business advising and coaching on best practices around Analytics and SAS tools in particular.
- Given the strong interaction with the business is a very good knowledge of Dutch (spoken and written) is required.
