Dutch Speaking Project Manager - French is also Ideal

Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Project Manager to join a prestigious client located in Brussels, Belgium. This is a contract position with a duration of 1 year. Candidates who also speak French are preferred.

Our client is a global engineering consultancy company with worldwide expertise in energy, water and infrastructure projects.

Your New role:-

THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

The Department is responsible for all the projects related to the studies and the modifications of existing Belgian nuclear power plants (Doel/Tihange) including Long Term Operation (LTO) projects. For the modification projects, these go from the pre-feasibility studies up to final commissioning of the installations, covering feasibility, design, procurement and on-site realization activities. Within this Department you are responsible for projects (studies and/or modifications) related to the nuclear power plants in Belgium, especially projects related to the Nuclear Power Plant in Doel.

THE MISSION
- Manage/follow-up the design and/or implementation of the project;
- Establish and consolidate the design and investment budgets for the project as a whole. Determine the overall time schedule, control the services provided for the project and you monitor the progress in terms of meeting the delivery times and the expected profitability;
- Define the tasks and empower them to carry them out;
- Take care of internal contacts with the competence centers and support departments (legal, finance, IT, risk management, communication, )
- Organise meetings with the client and develop the relevant administrative procedures with the support of a Project Assistant;
- After consulting the experts, assure the relevant administrative tasks with respect of the procedures with the support of a Project Assistant;
- Coordinate the actions at the interfaces between disciplines and you verify the adequate integration of the various specialities in the project;
- Take care of the technical and commercial contacts with the clients and partners, if any, and you define commercial actions when appropriate;
- For the projects where you are appointed as 'Project Engineer', support the Project Manager in the achievement of all tasks listed above.

Your Skills and experience:-

Essential Skills :-
- Masters in engineering
- Three to five years of professional experience of which at least two years as a project manager or assistant project manager, and. With knowledge of the processes of building new power stations and/or energy production installations (successive stages, contractual approaches, )
- Mother tongue is Dutch. Knowledge of French as well as English is an asset
- Dynamic, flexible, resistant to stress, rigorous
- Located in the Brussels HQ with frequent visits to the Belgian NPP sites (Doel and/or Tihange) and occasionally visits outside Belgium.
