Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Linux Centix System Engineer to join a prestigious client based in Antwerp, Belgium. This is a part time contract position (16 - 24hrs per week) with a duration of 5 months.
Our Client:-
The Port of Antwerp has been an indispensable link in world trade since the Middle Ages. The 1,584 employees of the Port Authority are responsible for a smooth and safe daily operation of the port. Given the enormous tasks vary the actions of all these colleagues greatly: from lockkeeper to accounting, from kaaitoezichter to promote employee and tugboat captain to crane operator. Together they work towards a sustainable future of the port.
Your New role:-
Working as a team in the management of Servers and parent applications.
- Configuration adjustments and installations according to existing documentation
- Support for Linux system team
Working hours: 16 to 24 hours per week depending on the project.
Very thorough knowledge of linux system management and associated command line tools. Thorough knowledge and professional experience with web Servers, databases, storage systems is a necessary condition for this assignment. Knowledge of network technology (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancers)

Essential Skills:-
- Demonstrable experience with Linux OS
- Dutch
- Demonstrable experience with Web Servers
- Demonstrable experience with VMWare ESX
- Demonstrable experience with Databases
- Demonstrable experience with Network Technology
- Demonstrable experience with MS Active Directory
