Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Java Developer for a 6 month contract in Brussels.
Our Client:- Our client is The Ministry of the Flemish Community (MVG), formerly the Government of Flanders until 2006. This is where Flemish Government policy is implemented. In 2006 the ministry was divided into departments headed by a Secretary-General. Following a further subdivision of administration structure the administration are now led by a Director General.
Your New role:-
My Client is looking to hire a Java developer to work with in a Governmental ICT project (Department of Agriculture and Fisheries) in Brussels.
Following the announcement of new European regulations for fisheries, a new system is being to be developed. The role needs a developer skilled in Java development, working in an open source environment. The Java developer will work with other developers and is accountable to the project leader.
o Developing new and existing functionalities
o Translating functional specifications into technical designs
o Supporting the other developers in the technical field
Your Skills and Qualifications:-
Essential Skills:- You will need to be able to show:
- Minimum 2.5 years of professional experience as Java developer;
- Experience with and knowledge of Java 7, Java EE7, EJB 3, CDI, JPA (Hibernate), JAXB, XML Schema, SOAP, Maven, Wildfly, PostGres, JMS (ActiveMQ), AngularJS, Docker;
- Testing experience with SoapUI and Arquillian.
Desirable Skills:-
- Nexus
- Continuous integration
- Mapping frameworks (Orika)
- Spring (Boot)
