Dutch Speaking Digital Designer and HTML CSS Specialist

Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch speaking Digital Designer and HTML CSS Specialist to join a prestigious client located in Mechelen, Belgium. This is a contract position with a duration of 1 year. Extension is also possible.

Our Client:-
Our client is a company run by the Flemish government in Belgium to provide public transportation with about 3650 buses and 359 trams.

Your New role:-
- Start from mid October or later
- Until the end of 2018
- 50 MD on call. The first assignment is to convert existing wireframes to designs and HTML/CSS (more areas to allow personalization, my line menu)
- We are looking for a creative Front End developer who can convert designs gorgeous code that works on any device and all current browsers. Your Graphic skills contribute to the improvement of the digital experience at De Lijn

Creative Front End developer who can convert designs into gorgeous code that works on any device and all current browsers. In addition, you can also provide some designs and wireframes and guide user experience discussions with the internal customer (Marketing).

Using Illustrator and Photoshop (or other), you can create designs tailored to the customer. In your enthusiasm, you always take into account the end user, budget, feasibility.

You can perfectly imitate that tight design with a lot of eye for detail. You know HTML and know how to use it correctly. CSS has no secrets for you anymore. However, you do not use hacks, youve been over for a long time. You know how to make something graceful, bulletproof and cross-browser. You take care of your designs and deliver HTML and CSS in a correct, structured way.

What you convert to templates, which is always realistic: you know that the content may be more or less, so your HTML and CSS are able to adapt to the reality. You do not always find the hot water again, and constantly refine your approach.

Additionally, you will provide spatial intergagement of JavaScript objects and features that will bring those static HTML files to life. Here is the support of the other profiles in our digital team. Websites that use a framework (including Bootstrap) do not scare you. .

You know that performance is not just about CPU and RAM, but also with file size, compression, and number of requests. Your Front End work is A-grade.
And responsive of course. All your websites have always been responsive. 65% of our website traffic is mobile which is logical in the mobility sector.

Attention to usability, scalability and SEO is also important in this regard.
You build websites that allow you to design and HTML their own.

You follow the new evolutions in the market so you can apply them later (HTML, CSS, SEO).

You are communicative and can work autonomously. You have enough maturity to clearly explain the design choices with pros and cons. You can be your man in usability discussions with our Marketing team. These discussions are in Dutch
