Dutch Speaking Developer

Proteus Europe is searching for a Dutch Speaking Developer for our client based in Amersfoort, Netherlands

Our Client:-

Our client is the principal passenger railway operator in the Netherlands. They run 4,800 scheduled domestic trains a day, serving 1.1 million passengers. They also provide international rail services from the Netherlands to other European destinations.

Based in the beautifully preserved medieval city of Amersfoort in the province of Utrecht you have easy access to the rest of Europe with one of the largest railroad junctions in the country. A pleasant and safe environment to work with many cultural activities and traditional Dutch architecture.

Your New role:-

You will work on a project that helps in the development of the - Adjustment Application Materials. This application gives Real Time information about the status of the equipment and its impact on railway timetables. The company is then able to quickly reschedule within the application in order to optimally serve the traveller.

Within the scrum team agile methodology is used to contribute to the development of an integrated solution working in close cooperation with all developers and integrators. This role will expect you to to independently plan your tasks, working and performing. It is up to you as part of the scrum team to deliver an integrated working, installable product along with the other three construction teams. Given the phase in which the project is located, it is expected that you are self-starting and you can customize and adapt easily.

One of the characteristics of a scrum team is that you are jointly responsible for the delivery of a finished product. The consequence is that you are able to support one another and work together. As a developer, this means that your core expertise is developing but we would appreciate it if you are willing to analyse or perform testing as well.

The aim within the project is for continuous integration, continuous delivery and DevOps this gives a challenging dynamic field, which also gives a lot of freedom.

The project's vision is that so-called push comes to the software button from the development teams. For us this means that when you install software on the T, A or P area there no more manual actions to be useful.

Activities

o Translation of use cases and non-functional requirements into working software, in accordance with the technical reference architecture.
o Writing automated tests: unit, integration and GUI tests.
o Writing technical documentation and support for the software.
o The development, preparation and testing of a technical design in accordance with the technical reference architecture, requirements for an issue.
o Understanding a complicated functional domain and thereby asking critical questions towards the Information analysts, software architects and Product Owner.
o Analysis of functional and non functional findings and propose solutions and document.
o As a sparring partner must at technical level for the rest of the members of the Scrum Team and all scrum teams
o The developer is responsible for creating a design and proper implementation thereof, which meet the deliverables to the required quality. On that is first accounted for to the Scrum team and secondly to the Software Architect.

o At least 5 years demonstrable recent hands-on development experience in different organizations.

o rail knowledge is a plus
o Candidate has a positive external reference
o Programming at senior level
o Test work at junior level is an advantage.
o Analysis work at junior level is an advantage.
o Object Oriented Analysis and design with UML
o Knowledge of and experience in the development of decision support systems.
o Concepts and industry standards such as HTTP, XML/XSL, WSDL, JAX-WS
