Due Diligence Analyst

This large financial services institution is looking to recruit an intermediary due diligence expert to assist and support the growth of their pooled investment vehicles. The intermediary due diligence team is positioned within the distribution team a nd the the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Intermediary due diligence as well as working with senior management to build on the function in areas such as on site due diligence visits, management information and staying ahead of regulatory changes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conducting checks and research on proposed and existing intermediary distributors in accordance with a set framework

Collection and review of AML procedures
-

Liaise with legal and AML officers in assessment of results and escalation framework

Prepare and present due diligence reports for internal committees
-

Development of enhanced procedures and ongoing due diligence program
-

Maintain internal system to ensure up to date and accurate records of intermediary agreements
-

Close cooperation with the client service, sales and external transfer agents to address any active AML findings or hits

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

-

Minimum of 2 years' experience within a compliance or AML team of an Asset Management firm or other financial institution

Experience of fund structures and distribution models
-

Strong knowledge of AML legislations in any of UK, Ireland and Luxembourg

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and ability to present information in an easily understandable format

Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the business

Self-motivated and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team
-

Ability to multi-task, to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure and to adapt to change

Familiar with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word

Candidates from other areas such as risk management or operations may be considered if they can demonstrate desire and aptitude to work in the due diligence area.
