DSP Engineer, Contract, Cambridge

Our client has an immediate vacancy for a highly motivated individual to join their DSP team for a new 3-6 month contract based in Cambridge.

Position & Responsibilities:
• Development of DSP software for SIMD architectures
• Design and development of physical layer algorithms for LTE and other 3GPP standards

Job requirements:
Ideally experience of the development of digital signal processing algorithms in mobile receivers and design for embedded real-time systems.

Essential:
• Matlab algorithm design
• Embedded C/C++ programming
• A good understanding of wireless receiver algorithms
• Ability to create end-to-end simulation models
• Real-time Software Engineering principles
• Understanding of mobile communications hardware environments and constraints
• Familiarity with software development tools (IDE compilers, debuggers, target trace)
• Knowledge of Software Engineering methodologies (Specification, Design, Coding, Test)
