DSP Engineer

I am currently recruiting for a number of strong DSP Engineers to work for a client of mine based in Hertfordshire. Salary is negotiable dependant upon the level of experience the candidate has.

Position & Responsibilities:

- Development of DSP software for SIMD architectures
- Design and development of physical layer algorithms for LTE and other 3GPP standards
- Taking an active role in system level integration and problem resolution

Job requirements:

Ideally experience of the development of digital signal processing algorithms in mobile receivers and design for embedded real-time systems.

Essential:

- Matlab algorithm design
- Embedded C/C++ programming
- A good understanding of wireless receiver algorithms
- Ability to create end-to-end simulation models
- Real-time Software Engineering principles
- Understanding of mobile communications hardware environments and constraints
- Familiarity with software development tools (IDE compilers, debuggers, target trace)
- Knowledge of Software Engineering methodologies (Specification, Design, Coding, Test)

Highly Desirable:

- An understanding of vector processing techniques for accelerating DSP algorithms
- An understanding of LTE OFDM and MIMO processing techniques
- Experience of platform integration in bringing products to market
- Interest in computing and communications technologies

They are particularly interested in candidates with LTE modem development experience, with emphasis on UE, where optimising link performance within tight constraints of computing performance and power consumption is critical.
