DRUPAL EXPERT - DRUPAL, EA, SOA, UML, BPA, RUP
For a project with the European Commission we are looking for a Drupal Expert.
TASKS
The tasks to be performed cover the complete life cycle of a web based information system construction and maintenance.
Under the EC departments Information System Section Project Leader supervision, and in close relation with the business unit owner of the existing/future information systems, the service provider will assume and/or assist in delivering the following tasks:
- Architecture and design of new information systems
- Review of the architecture of existing systems
- Design of component architecture and building blocks
- Analysis of the integration of different information systems
- Follow up of the data analysis and data modelling.
- Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
- Technical interface between the project leaders and the analysts.
- Production of software architecture documents
- Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users, including those happening outside of the departments services at Headquarters or in EU Delegations,
- Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting
- Participation to missions in EU Delegations premises
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
The tasks to be performed, and the development projects' life cycle require the following knowledge and skills:
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture,
- In depth knowledge of application design and Good knowledge in Web multitier application, SOA architecture and DRUPAL based CMS
- In depth knowledge of modelling tools and languages (eg UML),
- Good knowledge of business process analysis
- Knowledge of interoperability technology (eg web services, message oriented Middleware, service oriented bus)
- Ability to give technical presentations and to apply high quality standards, Good redaction skills
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (eg RUP, Agile),
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments,
- Ability to work (speaking/writing) in English for all project artifacts and meetings, and a good understanding of French, especially good redaction skills and technical presentation skills
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication,
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability, self-motivated and experience in team working.
All Information Systems projects managed by the Information Systems Section of the department make full use of the Rational Unified Process methodology as well as Rational Team Concert, Rational Software analyzer, Rational Functional Tester, Rational Quality Manager, and RequisitePro tools.
A minimum of 9 YEARS of expertise is required.
